There will be two transportation options during the Defeat of Jesse James Days this year to ensure that
everyone gets home safe.

First Choice Shuttle will provide four shuttles in Northfield during the week of Jesse James Days serving
Northfield with their $7.00 per ride in Northfield. They also service out-of-town riders for a $7.00 charge plus
$2.00 per mile out of the city limits. The shuttles will run 7:00 a.m. to bar close (1:00 am) on Friday and
Saturday night and then 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Thursday and Sunday. First Choice Shuttle will pick up riders
at 5 th and Water Street, in the parking lot by Forget Me Not Flowers.

JOYRIDE is back this year. The Rice County Safe Roads Coalition ran a pilot project called JOYRIDE – Good times
delivered – last year and it was very successful. Let JOYRIDE get you home on Saturday night, September 8,
2018 from 10:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Rides are in the City of Northfield ONLY. A Hiawatha Transit bus has been
leased and will pick up riders by the Entertainment Center on 5 th and Water Streets. This bus will be clearly
marked as the JOYRIDE bus and is not the same as a First Choice Shuttle. This is a FREE ride! Tickets are
available at the Entertainment Center and most bars and restaurants in downtown Northfield.

Plan ahead and think before you drink — a $7.00 or $30.00 or totally free ride is certainly cheaper than a DWI.
