While September feels like its’ far off, the Defeat of Jesse James Days (DJJD) Committee is already hard at work planning for this year’s DJJD set to take place the weekend after Labor Day, September 3 – 7, 2025.

Started by a group of individuals who wanted to host a community celebration, DJJD is now recognized as the third largest festival in the state of Minnesota, attracting approximately 200,000 people to Northfield during the five-days of festivities. Attendees come to enjoy a diverse offering of events, including the internationally recognized bank raid re-enactment, visit the historic bank site, frequent local businesses, restaurants, and hotels, attend the rodeo, carnival, craft shows and much more.

Our annual budget is approximately $260K which covers a multitude of expenses, including portable toilets, trash services, event security fees, city services, insurance, sponsoring many major events and much more. More than 40 local non-profit organizations from the Northfield community also raise funds during the celebration. An estimated $200,000 is raised annually by these nonprofits, not including the $40,000 directly paid out by DJJD to these groups.

Northfield area businesses are a key contributor in making the celebration possible. The incredible generosity of our local sponsors has provided the celebration with continuous growth, while helping us ensure a safe and fun event welcoming to all. We hope that you will consider serving as a sponsor this year, so we can continue that legacy.

Please review the sponsorship form posted HERE and choose the level that best suits you or your company.

Return it to: DJJD Committee, P.O. Box 23, Northfield, MN 55057, by April 15, 2025 to be included in all applicable marketing materials that go to print in early May.

On behalf of the Defeat of Jesse James Days committee, volunteers, and the Northfield Community…THANK YOU for supporting the best celebration in Minnesota, where we honor and recognize the heroism of the Northfield townspeople who banded together to protect the funds of the First National Bank of Northfield against the most infamous band of outlaws of their time.
