About Our Junior Ambassador Program

The Defeat of Jesse James Days Junior Ambassador Program is part of the Defeat of Jesse James Days Ambassador Scholarship Program. It focuses on friendships and fun while learning about our great community through its history and volunteerism. We strive to help develop young people to be the best they can be.

Each year, two junior ambassadors are selected from a group of candidates to represent the Defeat of Jesse James Days and Northfield for the upcoming year. Those selected will travel around the state and locally as a team of five ambassadors spreading the word about our great community. It is not a competition so it should not be confused with a beauty pageant.

The Candidate Experience is very rewarding for everyone and lasts approximately 8-10 weeks. Candidates are offered fun social activities, learn more about the Defeat of Jesse James Days history and develop new friendships in a non-competitive environment.
