- Dinner will be buffet style. You must RSVP with your check for $20 per person to this event. We will not be selling tickets at the door. Please make check payable to the Defeat of Jesse James Days Committee.
- The Joseph Lee Heywood Distinguished Service Award is given to a Northfield citizen who exemplifies the commitment to public service which Joseph Lee Heywood lived and died for.
Heywood was killed while defending the old First National Bank during an ill-fated robbery attempt by Jesse James and his gang in 1876. Each year since 1983 the Heywood Award committee has honored a Northfield resident to “remind us of our past and our promise to improve our community for the future.”
